Un Soir à l’Opéra’s Madame Butterfly Room Spray is inspired by the famed Puccini opera of the same name. The heroine of the opera is the very young Japanese geisha girl, Cio-Cio-san, known to her friends as Butterfly. With the delicate floral scent of cherry blossom, Cio-Cio-san is purity personified. When Cio-Cio-san marries American Naval Officer Pinkerton, soon before he is sent away for military duty and will not return for many years, Butterfly represents a woman who longs for love. The Madame Butterfly scented candle reflects this gentle attention to beauty with the clean, blossomy scent of sakura and rejuvenating sweet verbena characterizing this feminine, youthfully fragranced candle.

The home fragrance spray was made in Grasse by Philippe Poissonnier, master French parfumeur.
