Rogue Perfumery L’Homme M. Lacroix Eau de Parfum is an elegant citrusy leather chypre infused with spices and resins inspired by the musky mysteries of a family past. When Manuel Cross named his brand Rogue, it had a dual meaning. Firstly it was to represent how, as an artisan he dared to be different by going his own way. Secondly it referred to his origin story. In 1735 two of his ‘rogue’ ancestors (Allen and Corneleius LaCroix) escaped France for Ireland and began engaging in nefarious smuggling activities.

This 100% natural, vegan and cruelty free perfume crafts its rich and textured leather accord out of cassie flower with its intense green and spicy aroma, as well as birch tar, the backbone of many classic leather perfumes. The leathery heart is perfectly contrasted with top notes of lemon and citruses – giving sparkling sheen to the opening. Cedar is the perfect masculine counterpart to the leather accord and suggests the wooden planks of the boat Manny’s ancestors used to escape France.

As L’Homme M. Lacroix develops, it grows in dark mystery. Smoky labdanum adds a somewhat menacing effect and oakmoss hints at facets of woods, ink, tar and seaweed. Although Rogue Perfumery L’Homme M. Lacroix contains only botanical ingredients, it is a powerhouse with excellent longevity and sillage – a bad boy leather fragrance that allows you to explore your own inner rogue without engaging in environmentally criminal behaviour.
