Renier Perfumes Habana 500 Extrait de Parfum is a voluptuous sensory cocktail of coffee, caramel, cigars and leather inspired by the erotically charged streets of the Cuban capital. The opening is surprisingly breezy for a scent which flirts with the dark side of the Caribbean. Top notes of fresh apple and mint mojito lightly dusted in sea salt cut through the scent’s lactone rich body. Habana 500’s sensual heart features milky undercurrents which swirl beneath a sweetly smooth coffee note. The aroma here is deep and sensual as creamy liquorice and caramels blend together to form a mysterious amber accord. Aged leather and cedarwood revealed in the drydown unite to form a distinctively dry tobacco note. This is a niche fragrance for travel hungry scent enthusiasts, transporting its sensory explorers right into the interior of a ‘50s vintage American car in downtown Havana. Renier Perfumes Habana 500 Extrait de Parfum is infused with the easy-going energy of the Caribbean and balances a comforting gourmand sweetness with the raucous, sexy vibes of La Habana Vieja. The scent forms part of Renier’s Taino collection which is inspired by the indiginous people of the Caribbean. Habana 500 in particular explores how elements of the shamanic mysticism practiced by these pre-Columbian tribes are still present in contemporary Cuban life. Habana 500 was created by perfumer Daniel Josier in an exclusive 500 bottle release. As an Extrait de Parfum, Habana 500 is the highest quality form of fragrance on the market and the fittingly opulent medium to translate the intoxicating culture of the Taino to the modern niche perfume world.
