Rania J Rose Ishtar Eau de Parfum is an oriental rose-musk perfume inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of love and beauty. Rose Ishtar opens with a radiant cassis note, its deep blackcurrant jamminess a liquid jewel fit for a timeless divinity. The scent’s initial glossy fruit tones indicate abundance and fertility and offer a perfect mirror for Rose Ishtar’s bright floral heart. Rose, the eternal symbol of femininity, takes centre stage in this elegant niche perfume. By pairing rose Damask with Bulgarian rose, Rose Isthar achieves a fuller, more richly textured rendering of the Queen of Flowers – the perfect perfumed offering to the gods.

Perhaps it is in the dry down that Rose Ishtar reveals its true depth of character. The initial fruity-syrupy fragrance recedes, revealing an earthy, musky kind of sweetness. Creamy sandalwood, a wisp of incense and the sweet-soil scent of patchouli hint at something deeper – the mysterious underworld which is the source of earth’s flowers and fragrances.
