Parfums Quartana Poppy Soma – Lunar Floral Edition (Extrait de Parfum) is a spicy floral seduction with fruity and resinous nuances. A perfume with a powerful sillage and sex appeal, it is no coincidence that it won the Fragrance Foundation’s “Perfume Extraordinaire” award! A captivating opening, dizzyingly beautiful heart notes and a stunningly detailed and balanced drydown from the New York perfume house.

Known as the “the joy plant” by the ancient Sumerians, the poppy symbolised nocturnal oblivion, specifically sleep, night and death in the pre-Christian world. ‘Soma’ is a Vedic word meaning ‘moon’, referring to the sweet milky sap that oozes from the poppy bulbs and glows in the moonlight, which is processed into raw opium to be smoked.

Parfums Quartana Poppy Soma captures the before and after of the experience, from sweet milky sap to pungent smoke. Its magical openness is refreshed by a cacophony of spices. Reaching into the heart of the perfume, fruity nuances of jasmine and tuberose take over. As the fragrance settles on the skin, it feels a little sweeter, lulling the senses with a heady effect. Anchored by musky wisps of smoke, it is light as feather.

Parfums Quartana Poppy Soma dries down with resinous notes that permeate the perfume and envelop you in an intoxicating mystery over a magically smoky base. A perfume that will stun the wearer and those around them.
