Description

Quartana Parfums Hemlock (Eau de Toilette) is a black vinyl perfume that is vibrantly woven through with spicy rum, rich vanilla and aromatic herbs. Decadent jasmine and creamy magnolia surround the fragrance like a bondage session.

The perfume’s opening is like a protective film around a brand new vinyl record. A spritz of Martinique rum drops from a leather-covered spout onto the freshly pressed plastic. A whole cavalcade of spices flow with cloves, cinnamon and pink pepper, which turns the jet black vinyl into something more dynamic. As the perfume dries down, vanilla, benzoin and tonka bean add a sweet coating to the scent, patchouli reveals its depth, and musk softens the vibe. Although it is “only” Eau de Toilette concentration, the perfume lasts 10-12 hours without any problems with a very pleasant sillage.

Quartana Hemlock is part of the poisonous flowers collection (Les Potions Fatales). Hemlock is one of the most poisonous flowers, but it is also known in folk medicine as a painkiller and has been used to treat cancer. Modern medicine does not use it today because of its small range of action: the healing and lethal doses are very close to eachother.
