Description

Pekji Purpl Extrait de Parfum is an avant-garde explosion of plastic fruits, glossy textures and vivid emotions. Purpl is a chaotic mixture of contrasting suggestions with sweet, salty, natural and synthetic notes under a purple haze. The opening has a playful trashiness as the aroma of manmade grape and strawberry channels the addictive childhood scent of fruit-flavoured markers. The emotive intensity of sharpie infused air is surely the millennial generation’s equivalent of Proust’s Madeleine!

Despite the artificial flavourings there is a richness to Purpl. Carnation and moss notes add a rounded balminess and a peep of chypre sophistication fumbles underneath the vinyl packaging. Purpl’s crowded opening may border on vulgar, but it slowly transitions into a vulnerable skin scent allowing you to calm into its protracted journey of a drydown.
