Description
Parfum D’Empire Vétiver Bourbon (Eau de Parfum) pays homage to the iconic fragrant grass, highlighting its ancient nature. In this perfume, vetiver embraces its innate toughness, and one might even say its masculinity. It is true that it has been used for decades as a base for masculine perfumes, but usually in a more polite, urban, understated form. In Vétiver Bourbon, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, founder and perfumer of Parfum D’Empire, frees the vetiver from its civilised manners and restores its original elegance. A fragrance that in its raw state can be a perfume in itself, so unique and contrasting.
Parfum D’Empire Vétiver Bourbon evokes the iconic grass from which it takes its name, now extremely rare because it has all but disappeared from the island of La Réunion, where it was once widely cultivated. With its fresh, green, aromatic scent and earthy, mossy, woody tones, it is the richest, most complete vetiver essence.
Parfum D’Empire Vétiver Bourbon presents an olfactive world that evokes the dawn harvest of the fragrant root at the moment when the robust root is plucked from the earth. This is Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s scent memory from his travels to the former Bourbon Island. A volcanic landscape infused with the mineral aspects of Vetiver Bourbon.
Vétiver Bourbon enhances the earthiness of the essence by inextricably intertwining two roots. The angelica root is herbal, musky, peppery, with the burning sensation of Madagascar clove. And the subtly woody iris, illuminated by the bright ambrette core.
An untamed vetiver perfume plucked from the soil of the island of La Réunion.
