Description
Parfum D’Empire Equistrius (Eau de Parfum) is an elegant powdery leather perfume with the thousand colours of Florentine iris. Like a powdery veil with dark chocolate notes, melting into ambrette butter, with light fruity vibrations on a natural plant musk base.
Parfum D’Empire Equistrius was named by Marc-Antoine Corticchiato for a reason: to pay homage to the “shining horse” who once won him the greatest victories as a racehorse. The noblest pieces in his collection, concentrating exclusively on the finest ingredients, are inspired by the noblest conquests of mankind.
The fragrance of iris is as sumptuous as the Renaissance Florence that made the flower its symbol, and as colourful as the rainbow that was said to carry the messenger of Iris, the Greek gods. Since ancient Rome, iris has also enriched the palette of perfumers and apothecaries, who have used it for its sedative properties. In the 18th century, aristocrats used it to powder their wigs – hence its reputation as a ‘powdery’ note.
Parfum D’Empire Equistrius perfume plays with the contrast between the powdery and harsher aspects of iris. Fruity, musky ambrette butter, milky sandalwood and the warmth of amber almost melt into the skin. The surprising chocolatey note of the exceptional iris extract reveals the secret sensuality of the elegantly austere flower.
