Papillon Artisan Perfumes Epona (Extrait de Parfum) is an elegant smoky leather perfume that pays homage to Epona, the Celtic goddess of horses. The niche perfume captures the essence of equine strength and confident serenity. It is inspired by the majestic strength of leather, the sweet dance of hay absolute on summer evenings and, above all, the velvety warmth of horses’ skin.

The glossy resinous fingerprints of gods and goddesses trace stripes on sunwarmed saddles; the thundering hoofbeats are softened by honey. The shadows of violet’s delicate floral notes grow longer in the setting sun, while the distinctive accord of saddle soap brings a vibrancy of the balsamic horsehair. Tufts of greenish grass tumbling and scorching in the golden August sunshine. Herds of foals gallop in the soft storm of summer. And you breathe again: the leather, the heat, the distant meadows and the skin.

Inspired by their intimate friendship, the perfume captures the essence of sweet hay fields and warm summer days with the gentle caress of the sun. The perfume combines notes of leather, opoponax and violet to evoke the soothing scent of the saddle and the earthy aromas of horsehair. With its delicate scent, saddle soap evokes the gentle care of a faithful companion.
