Papillon Artisan Perfumes Angélique Eau de Parfum is a pale and waxy beauty inspired by the graceful charm of the Iris Pallida flower. This niche perfume features sublimely buttery orris set behind a floral-fruity bouquet. The scent opens with powdery and green cascades of osmanthus and white champaca, still forming in a spring garden. The pastel pallor of budding blossoms quickly brightens into the dappled gold of mimosa. Mellow, hazy and honeyed, Angélique verges on the gourmand but successfully avoids excessive, sun-ripened sweetness. Instead, Virginian cedarwood and subtle notes of frankincense bring an ethereally light and delicate freshness to this tender composition. Interwoven with the filigrane tapestry of pre-raphaelite florals, the alabaster aroma of precious orris butter lends the perfume a subterranean earthiness in the most luxurious way.

Angélique Eau de Parfume is almost unique in its use of the world’s finest orris concrete, containing the highest percentage of 15% irones and used by only one other famed French perfume house. The incredibly expensive extract from rhizomes of the bearded iris, orris has an elusive and inimitable aroma – reminiscent of cool, sweet, creamy florals, and powdery violets. The most demure of the Papillon Artisan Perfumes range, Angélique conjures a rich and atmospheric olfactory landscape while maintaining its aristocratic reserve. A scent as angelic as nature herself.

All Papillon Artisan Perfumes are genderless and androgynous, to be worn by anyone who enjoys them. All Papillon perfumes are cruelty free and are not tested on animals.
