One Day Pu’er Tea Eau de Parfum is an earthy, dry-aged perfume inspired by China’s highly prized pu’er tea – showcasing the nostalgic depth behind tea drinking culture. What wine is for Europe, pu’re is for Eastern Asian connaisseurs. It gains both in value and in complexity the longer it matures and it speaks for the timelessness of the tea ceremony.

Like the tea that inspired it, One Day Pu’er Tea perfume ripens with time on the skin. This niche perfume progresses from a raw opening to fully rounded, almost smoked heart. Imagine a colour scheme that magically transitions from green to carmine: pu’er leaves steeped in 80 degree water are served up in an old room in a purple boccaro clay pot on a wooden tray. As hot water flows in a crimson river from on high to settle in the cup, we are reminded that this ancient practice repeated again and again becomes a little bit of wonder every day.

One Day Pu’er Tea gains power in the drydown, channelling images of both fermented tea and aged walls tinted ochre and brown by the years. A rich, dry base reveals how time and the elements compress to infuse houses and tea leaves with an air of nostalgia. Then it rains and a petrichor floralcy blooms again – this time denser, redder. Brew and pour the aged water anti-clockwise, breathe the moment, reverse time. Remember when the tea was new, when we still wrote letters – a glorious image of the world that stops for nothing but a precious sip of pu’er tea.

Top notes: pu’er tea leaves
Heart notes: cedarwood, cypress, patchouli
Base notes: incense, vetiver
