One Day Perfumes Berlin Eau de Parfum is a minimalistic leathery cedar fragrance that is as full of contrasts as the German capital itself. Berlin’s characteristic woodiness is balanced by the clean urban green of rose de mai. The mild smokiness of birch tar is covering the fragrance with a leathery sheen and adds to the perfume’s cool minimalism.

Despite the earthy vibrancy of its constituent parts, Berlin remains calmly distanced. A restrained muskiness in the base keeps things smooth yet sexy –  a great niche perfume for lovers of gentle fragrances. Rough around the edges but universal enough to wear to the club, art gallery, office or opera, One Day Berlin is a scent for all occasions.

One Day perfumes focuses on a number of the world’s most interconnected locations, the kind of ubiquitously present places that feature on airport destination screens, time zone clocks and brand flagship store lists. The Ethos of Cities Limited Series aims to embody these globalised spaces in a personal way, thereby reclaiming a sense of specificity from the homogenised experiences of globalisation.

One Day, the Hong Kong based niche perfume house invites us to closely contemplate on a number of international cities with contemporary resonance. London, Seoul, Amsterdam, Berlin, Kyoto (as well as the country Thailand) have been translated into perfume form as part of an installation entitled A Nice Place to Smell in a Hong Kong gallery. This luxury, limited series is the antithesis of our post covid return to frenetic globetrotting. Like classical high art, production is exclusively restricted.
