Olentium Bal Baroque (Eau de Parfum) was nominated for the Best Perfume Prize at the Art and Olfaction Awards in the artesanal category in Los Angeles in 2024.
Olentium Bal Baroque is a perfume for timeless and infinite beauty, where classic perfumery with a modern twist becomes a contemporary masterpiece. You could say where Caravaggio meets film noir in a sumptuous perfume. Bal Baroque is inspired by the baroque splendour and mystery of Valletta, the capital of Malta, and just like the city, the perfume reveals its deeper secrets only over time.
Olentium Bal Baroque impresses with the most seductive and sensual perfume ingredients: oud, black sacra incense and Damask rose. Perfume here is more than the sum of its parts, as in the hands of perfumer Elizabeth Grech, the highest quality raw materials evolve into an inseparable blend.
In the opening of Bal Baroque, a Damask rose of enchanting beauty is spiced with saffron and softened by the fresh fruitiness of raspberry. The heart of the perfume slowly infiltrates a rum-soaked black sacra incense coated with a dark chocolate accord to further delight. By the end of the very long duration, the fragrance dries down to a subtle vanilla and oud blend, where the oud just holds the perfume rather than dominating. Notes of oak, tobacco and patchouli enrich the perfume base without any of them clearly standing out from this ingeniously blended perfume.
Olentium Bal Baroque is always beautiful and elegant, its beauty easily seduces anyone.
