Description

Naomi Goodsir Cuir Velours Eau de Parfum is a velvety suede niche perfume inspired by the softness of a gentleman’s leather glove. Meaning ‘velvet leather’ in French, Cuirs Velours is an olfactive creation with an almost tactile profile. The multisensory nature of the eau de parfum is instantly apparent as a plush and textured leather accord in the opening evocatively encases the skin in warm, vanilla tones. Paired with the velvety suede, smooth floral top notes shine bright and summery, while glowing immortelle dusts the opening and heart in sunshine sweetness.

As the sun sets over paradise, Cuirs Velours reveals its nocturnal side. The sensual atmosphere of a classy cocktail bar is conjured up by a decadently boozy note of rum, which seeps through the wholesome sunlit vibes. The base, arranged around a dark cistus labdanum and creamy incense, suggests that plumes of smoke have brushed up against the sophisticated suede in the not so distant past. Remnants of sweet pipe tobacco strewn like ashen powder across the drydown act like the mellow, musky memory of a beautiful day… and night.
