Miguel Matos Twisted-Tuberose Extrait de Parfum is a multifaceted tuberose scent that is both playful and mysterious, thanks to an elaborate profusion of raspberry, evergreen sap and balsamic resins.

Tuberose is Miguel Matos’ favourite flower. What he finds so attractive about tuberose is its expressiveness, just the slightest alteration can hide or exaggerate certain facets to radically alter its effect. In Twisted Tuberose, Miguel Matos has handled the grande-dame of the floral world with a confident irreverence. Unlike the intimidating sophistication of vintage white florals, this is a tuberose for our time. Teased out of a rich and powerful tuberose absolute, Miguel Matos has achieved a glossy tuberose with a playful plasticity. Twisted Tuberose is like shiny latex licked with raspberry and its opening boasts a bubblegum gleam which is youthful and fun.

Twisted Tuberose is cheeky and contemporary, yet it has a deep and dark green side. Coniferous woods shade the bright pink florality in the aromatic murkiness of a pine forest floor. Gummy evergreen resins add beautiful depth and texture, while the animalic notes of ambergris, musk and civet produce something feral. The balsamic woods, sweet sap and wild animalics of the base are the perfect complement to the chewy raspberry tuberose of the top. Twisted Tuberose displays how flexible tuberose can be, where childish and grown-up, synthetic and natural, innocence and danger can exist side by side in one multi-layered perfume journey.

Top notes: fir balsam, Scottish pine, raspberry
Heart notes: tuberose, cypress, Virginia cedar
Base notes: ambergris, musk, civet, caramel
