Description
Meo Fusciuni 2# nota di viaggio (shukran…) Eau de Parfum is an aromatic oriental blend of mint, lemongrass and tobacco. An olfactive tribute to a journey through Morocco, Shukran (Arabic for thank you) is a simple but intoxicating scent which invites us to live in the moment and be grateful for the small things in life. The opening is characterized by a bright and green mint note which is sweet and calming but not too fresh thanks to the deep aroma of black tea. Pairing with mint’s fragrant sweetness, lemongrass seems to warm from within thanks to its heated herbal notes. Earthy and darkly aromatic, tobacco is a natural accompaniment to mint and black tea and brings a smooth decadance to the base. Despite its exotic darkness, shukran Eau de Parfum explores the lightness of a people, and the lightness of a place, highlighting the magic of meeting and sharing that occurs in the intimate exchange between host and visitor.
The second installment in the ‘nota di viaggio’ trilogy (the others being ‘rites de passage’ and ‘ciavuru d’amuri’), ‘shukran’ takes us from Turkey to Morocco and is a celebration of the present moment. One cannot but take the time for a cup of mint tea and consider the symbolic importance that goes into preparing and receiving this classic herbal infusion. It was in Morocco that founder and nose behind Meo Fusciuni, Giuseppe Imprezzabile did most of his ethnobotanical research – exploring the relationship between the region’s plants and their traditional application by the people of the Maghreb. ‘Shukran’ is a scented tribute to his findings – that deep spiritual connections are often made possible by the simplest of everyday rituals.
