Description
Mendittorosa South Eau de Parfum is a uniquely Italian composition uniting floral notes with earthy, herbal tones draped over a woody and nutty base. The niche perfume is inspired by the idyllic Mediterranean landscape, where humans and nature have intertwined over the millenia. South opens with fresh flower notes of green cyclamen, bittersweet lilac and soft jasmine. The sense of palette cleansing continues with a crisp accord of white linen drying in the sun: Mendittorosa’s very own take on the brilliant fragrance of freshly laundered sheets. A clean yet earthy note of Marseille soap hints at the niche perfume’s more muted facets, which include an oily-soil heart of carrot seed and sweetly fermented bread. Base notes suggest a Piedmont vista with wafts of woods such as sandalwood, precious wood and amyris infused with the rich, gourmand aroma of natural hazelnuts. Mendittorosa South Eau de Parfum unites the simple and the complex in its romantic recreation of the beautiful aromas of everyday life.
Mendittorosa South Eau de Parfum conjures up memories of both the warmth, and the sensual clutter of the Mediterranean soul and forms one half of Mendittorosa’s ‘The Duo’ collection, within its ‘Odori d’Anima’ series. Together with North, South forms a love story of opposites longing for each other. A story of two souls, two cultures: Scandinavia and the Mediterranean, in an eternal dance of attraction. Two hearts as one. Warm and spontaneous South can be layered with calm, woody North or worn on its own.
North and South are bottled in French artisan made glass featuring metal caps decorated with the geographical coordinates of Scandinavia and Italy. The names of the fragrances are engraved on metal medallions tied on with natural rope. Contrasting colours are used in the coding of the perfumes; cooler North is warmed-up with golden bronze accents while the glowing nostalgia of South is cooled-down with silvered elements. The bottles are protected by handcrafted wooden boxes, licensed replicas of the crates used by Tuscan sculptor Alessandro Reggioli to transport his art around the world.
