Manos Gerakinis Omen Eau de Parfum is a fruity spicy amber perfume, both sweet and juicy, deep while fun loving. Omen is a delicately layered niche perfume where perfumer Miguel Matos and the founder of the perfume house, Manos Gerakinis embark on an olfactory journey to Delphi, to the most important oracle of antiquity. “Know Thyself” was one of the motto of the famous Pythia temple, we recommend Omen to all who prefer to take their future into their own hands.

Manos Gerakinis Omen niche perfume is an epic olfactory journey based around the passionate tension of darkness and light. The perfume is gently balanced, with the individual components blending together so subtly that it’s just as hard to discover them separately as pushing the perfume into an existing genre. The perfume is constantly evolving on the skin: at times it’s intoxicating and sweet, then dreamy and sensual, just to change into an adrenaline filled atmosphere.

The perfume opens with apples from the first harvest of the year, mixed with the deep green soothing fragrance of a bunch of fresh bay leaves. The fruit collected in the basket is sprinkled with saffron, which is more valuable than gold, giving the fragrance a velvety leathery feel. The bitter sweet intoxicating feel continues in the heart notes: the resinous pine balm permeates the night jasmine and the camphorous buchu leaves – an unparalleled scent that can only come from the hands of Miguel Matos. The niche perfumes drydown arrives on the damp ground of the forest: green and refreshing at the same time.

Many riddles surround the way the priests of the centuries-old oracle came into contact with the divine. According to one theory, the power of the prophecies was related to the vapors from the water of the Kerna spring flowing under the temple. It has often been suggested that these vapors may have been hallucinogenic gases that, when inhaled, inspired the priests of the Delphi prophecy. And although the oracle has been inactive for centuries, the power of the scents and the mystique surrounding them are now available locked in Omen.
