Description
Jorum Studio Trimerous Eau De Parfum is a beautiful, iris inspired scent which explores the finest facets of precious orris butter – extracted from the root of the iris. This multifaceted take on an iris scent undulates between highly prized luxury and aromatic earthiness – a melange of sweet florals and smooth, waxy root. Three is the magic number for this exquisite scent: the name Trimerous refers to three-petalled flowers (the group includes iris) and orris butter takes three painstaking years to produce. The perfume itself is a triptych of veils which highlights three nuances of the noble root: its effervescent, buttery and exalting qualities.
Effervescence is showcased with an opening of nose-tingling iris, which is given citrus sparkle from fleeting notes of bergamot and nectarine. The complex floral profile of orris blends well with the mellow tang of kombucha and frosted berry to form a creamy champagne-like accord. The buttery nuance in Trimerous is linked to a glossy candied apple sweetness, which is tempered by deep and waxy orris heartnotes. This lends the scent the honey-rich resonance of a delicate confection. During drydown, the initial frostbite brightness of iris melts into the muted subterranean warmth of orris, which softly caresses the skin. Here, the exalting properties of the luxurious root come into their own – its textured tones create a powdery podium which encourages the subtle base notes of vanilla, musk and incense to shine.
