Description
Jorum Studio Arborist Eau de Parfum is a spicy, woodsy scent redolent of great Scots timbers; with their component leaves, flowers, fruits, roots and soil combining to form the quintessential portrait of the forest. The perfume is not just an ode to the enchanting native woodlands of Scotland, but is a study of humanity’s visceral relationship with nature.
The perfume opens with the herbal, almost medicinal properties of evergreen flora. The initial clean terpenic hit of coniferous wood and sap quickly reveals an animalic undertone. You can almost imagine the hard working body of the perfume’s eponymous arborist (a fancy name for a tree surgeon). The scent is comfortingly masculine, like the strong forearms of a lumberjack speckled in aromatic sawdust and woodchip.
While Arborist’s spirited opening has the rugged heft of natural, unprocessed timber, the perfume’s drydown reveals the balsamic warmth of sun-bleached wood. Mellow notes of malted cereals meld with thick tree resins. The sensual scent of worked skin mingles with woody Myrrh notes – hinting at the spiritual communion between man and nature.
Jorum Studio Arborist presents a unique blend of raw flowers, botanicals, resin sap, underwood and surprising forest fruits. Resolutely sylvan and intriguingly multifaceted with more than a hint of human skin, oily tool and distilling elixirs. Haunting from afar, this is a fragrance which captures our timeless fascination with the arboreal world.
