Description

Hiram Green Arcadia Eau de Parfum is a lush fougére featuring a complex interplay of fernlike freshness, rich spices and deep woods. The opening has the carefully abstract balance of a Cézanne landscape. Aromatic French lavender and Italian bergamot dominate as they swirl in mellow summer air. Pops of jasmine and rose provide floral shading. As we flit from scented sky to pastoral landscape, tonka bean and patchouli paint a sweet, earthy scene, while sandalwood captures the deep, creamy air of unspoilt forests. 

Like its namesake, Arcadia Eau de Parfum effuses a little slice of idyllic nature, but this is a classical utopia given a modern, cubistic update. The lush undergrowth of the forest floor, sunlight breaking through the canopy, fragrant flowers basking in the heat – their sweet scent intertwining with the fresh green smell of the foliage – all vibrate together. There is movement without clear narrative. Aromas hum and jostle simultaneously alongside each other, remaining distinct and unblended. The result is an exciting tension which takes the classic fougére structure in a stimulating modern direction.
