Description
Gallivant Istanbul Eau de Parfum is a sensually smooth oriental spiced amber reverie. Where better to lose oneself in olfactive daydreaming than Istanbul – metropolis at the crossroads of continents and meeting place of world cultures.
The fleeting refreshment of bergamot and cardamom in the opening is beautifully contrasted by a heart of patchouli and sweet myrrh (opoponax) essence. Lavender absolute and Egyptian geranium contribute a sweet floral warmth. In the perfume’s base, Gallivant Istanbul achieves the unlikely – it is delicately decadent. Sumptuous sandalwood and musks cloak vanilla and tonka bean to form a soft textured amber that is both wonderfully comforting and effortlessly subtle.
Waking up in the Moda neighbourhood crossing the Bosphorus to spend a balmy night in Karaköy – a day in Istanbul is a paradise for scent journeyers. The air coloured in coffee, creaminess, leather, suede, spices and incense all mingling together, forming an addictively intangible dreamscape.
