Filippo Sorcinelli Reliqvia Extrait de Parfum is dedicated and inspired by the terrible fire event of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Paris, which took place on April 15, 2019.

The invitation, however, is to not stop on that date, but to open the true Essence to the world.

Filippo Sorcinelli, known as the tailor of the popes, has wanted to fix three moments in the new extrait de parfum main: the triggering event, the water on the stones and the Essence that remains.

Notre-Dame Cathedral is undoubtedly among the most known and visited sacred buildings in the world. Filippo had the privilege of being able to log in places closed to tourism and able to grasp unexpected images, smells and values.

But what is the Essence of the Cathedral? Immediately we are led to believe that it has only the strong smell incense.
Nothing more incomplete!

The smell of Notre-Dame is not incense. Today is that moment of smoke that affects history. It is also water that overflows from the stones, which flows down to the sides of the organ. It is today a glimpse of the vaults that allows light to enter from naked sky. It’s the smell of uninterrupted life, of the Soul untouched, it is the Golden Cross that spurts. It is Truth that advances.

Notre-Dame 15.4.2019, the true essence, will be a little one support to the Maitrise, the set of singers and musicians who guard the priceless heritage of the Sacred Music of the Cathedral.

The proceeds from sales will in fact be donated to the Musique Sacrée association, to help continue his business and mission at the moment outside their “home”.

As always, particular attention is given to packaging: the cap of the bottle is a monolith of burned wood, and evoke the tragic moment of the fire, on which it is nailed the name of the fragrance.

At the opening, the features four falling “wings” painted and signed directly by Filippo Sorcinelli with symbols, colors and stylistic elements attributable to the Cathedral of Paris: four real small “paintings”, which they lead to a single true and exclusive work of art.
