Filippo Sorcinelli Lux Visionaria (Extrait de Parfum) with the fragrance of life giving light. Light allows you to see the world around you in all its detail, with every colour and movement. Light has a fundamental effect on the human physiological and spiritual state of mind. Light is present in all cultures and we know and understand light as the counterpoint to the existence of darkness.

” The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (Gospel of John 1 1-18) The symbol of light permeates the Bible from the first page to the last. It is the divine energy that gives life and light to all things: it is he who bathes, who recognises and transforms all colours. The manifestation of Light is what we call consciousness. The beginning of creation is thus related to life: when you are born, you come to the light, you walk in the light, you escape from the darkness, you become a child of the light.

Filippo Sorcinelli’s Lux Visionaria conjures light in a perfumed glass and has a dual effect: on the one hand, the outside world is illuminated and recoloured by the purple hues of amethyst, while the inner spiritual world is enveloped by a flood of light from the reflection of amethyst for a soothing inner peace.

“He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light” (Gospel of John 1 1-18). Filippo Sorcinelli Lux Visionaria may not do the job of being a beacon of light in the world for us, but we can certainly call it for help.
