The main theme of Filippo Sorcinelli Chiudi Gli Occhi E Poi Vedi is that not everything is what it seems. The name of the perfume means “Close your eyes and see”. Fear of clowns, also known as coulrophobia, is a relatively common and often misunderstood fear. This fear can manifest itself in varying degrees of intensity, from mild discomfort to paralysing terror, and is generally believed to be deeply rooted in the human psyche.

Popular culture has reinforced the fear of clowns through negative and frightening depictions. An emblematic example is the character of Pennywise, the evil clown in Stephen King’s novel “It”, who has terrified generations of readers and viewers and is the inspiration for the thirteenth fragrance in Filippo Sorcinelli’s UNUM collection.

In Filippo Sorcinelli Chiudi Gli Occhi E Poi Vedi’s adrenaline-fuelled opening of citrus and strawberry’s sweet notes over spicy lavender. The opening of the perfume quickly rushes through many points of change to stop at a tart green, ultra cool fragrance experience, where the aromatic tobacco scent of clary sage blends with camphoraceous artemisia and earthy patchouli, counterpointed by the effervescently bright orange blossom scent of petigrain. The base is frighteningly woody, and the heart notes are already infused with the scent of the tantalisingly animalic oud.

Close your eyes because in the dark you can see, your thoughts become closer and deeper.
And that face which distorts mine is back. Memories.
