Filippo Sorcinelli Chiesa D’Oro (Extrait de Parfum) is inspired by the drawers of the sacristy of the Basilica of San Marco in Venice. Spicy, oriental, a real bubbling spicy floral perfume at its best. After a very fresh opening of bergamot, the perfume is almost immediately filled with a spicy floral bouquet: a trio of Damask rose, carnation and jasmine. This floral trilogy accompanies the perfume throughout its entire duration, only coming to rest on a very soft vanilla, ambery base lined with musk at the drydown.

Filippo Sorcinelli Chiesa D’Oro Extrait de Parfum is an almost oriental fragrance, reminiscent of spices (Latin “species”: special, precious commodity) that have come to the lagoon city by sea. In Venice, the spice makers experiment with these ingredients, mixing and grinding them and then selling them in small sachets called ‘Venetian bags’. Thanks to this, Venice and the world can no longer exist without spices, which are not always used to flavour food, but often to add a festive and enriching touch to the ceremonies in the cathedral with the golden mosaics.
