Description
Dusita Issara Extrait de Parfum is a modern take on the classical fougere, blending classic woody freshness with a smooth and clean salty skin scent. Meaning freedom in Thai, Issara is certainly an olfactive freethinker – a scent which does not conform to perfume conventions. Issara opens with light and airy pine notes one would expect from a traditional fougere. But despite the refreshing outdoorsy facet, Issara turns away from nature’s green landscapes and in on the wearer, working with the skin’s own scent in a strikingly modern way. Issara is smooth and suave, with the musky caress of clary sage sculpting the sharp, rugged wood tones into an altogether more polished forest scene.
Heart notes of coumarin rich tonka bean recreate the soft wafts of new-mown hay. Combining the rounded balsamic notes of vetiver bourbon with the intimately mellow scent of sylvester pine leaf, Issara seems to sheathe the skin in a warm cloak of tobacco. A gentle Extrait de parfum with incredible longevity, Issara seems to unite the great expanse of nature with an intimate introspectiveness – the fleeting breeze with the enduring warmth of our own body.
As Dusita Issara dries down, the sensual interplay between soapy-clean and salty-skin elegantly unfolds. A pairing of musk and oakmoss subtly accentuates the body’s presence, creating a beautifully creamy, naturally sweet base. An opulently rich and salty note is won from the most rare and exclusive natural ambergris – imbuing the skin with an aura of sun infused sea. A fragrance of contrasts and surprises which lends a new level of sophistication and innovation to a classic fougere arrangement.
