Description

DS & Durga Mississippi Medicine (Eau de Parfum) is a spectacular incense perfume with the raw power of cypress, cedar and cadé. It processes the ancient death cult of the Mississippi region into a fragrance, combining burning tribal bonfires with the smoke of pine, cypress, laurel and cedar to rise up to the gods. Haunting, yet soothing.

DS & Durga Mississippi Medicine opens with herbal, woody notes of freshly gathered juniper branches, twigs, lichen-covered bark and sweet-grassy violets. It’s damp, cool and dense, impressively realistic. The birch tar erupts like smoke mingling with the wood and herbs of a bonfire before bursting into flames. As the birch smoke hovers over the skin in a dull, haunting, grey haze at the heart of the perfume, the base of dry cedar and incense grows stronger. As the fragrance dries down, only incense and ember remains, like ashes at the end of a bonfire. After the smoke has reached the gods, and only the ashes remain to be covered and buried in the ground.

Fragrance notes: red cedar, aldehyde, incense distillate, cypress root, black pine, cascarilla bark, incense, Spanish cedar and birch tar
