Day Three Fragrances Downtown Deja Vu Eau de Parfum is a uniquely fun unisex perfume inspired by the experience of strolling through a ‘90s shopping mall! Downtown Deja Vu is a modern, yet nostalgic fragrance that whisks you back in time, where neon lights, zesty fruit smoothies, and fresh threads create an atmosphere of indulgence and wonder. Like all Day Three Fragrances, however, Downtown Deja Vu handles its playfully gaudy inspiration with surprising restraint and sophistication.
Like an LED display in full saturation, Downtown Deja Vu sparkles with top notes of apple, red berries and citrus. The vibrant and zingy opening is designed to capture the sensory overload of an attention grabbing fruit smoothie stand. Venturing further into the heart, we’re met with a soft and clean combination of iris, rose and white linen – reminiscent of those iconic ‘90s department stores cosmetic counters and crisp, new t-shirts.
A form of retail therapy in scent form ensues in the dry down of Downtown Deja Vu’s base notes. A scent cloud of suede, cinnamon, and cotton candy is the perfect homage to the sensual barrage of cinnamon bun stands, leather stores and arcades – the treats that feed our greed. With the delicate balance achieved between over-the-top sweetness and genuine luxury, independent niche perfume has never felt so joyously commercial.
Top notes: apple, red fruits, citrusses
Heart notes: cinnamon, iris, rose
Base notes: cotton candy, amber, suede, linen, musk
