Blackcliff Black Sand (Extrait de Parfum) is a disconcerting conceptual perfume with spicy animalic notes and an unrivalled perfume experience in it’s opening. The coastal world of the Windward Islands west of Barbados is famous for its pitch black sandy beaches. It’s so strange you’d hardly dare step on it. If you do though, you’ll notice that despite the unusual colour, the beach experience is the same. Or is it the same?

The opening of Blackcliff Black Sand is bold and unusual: it starts with a spicy hit so strong it almost discourages you from going any further. But if you do, you’ll be transported along a minty trail to the full landscape and olfactive experience of the beach: salty driftwood and a smoky whiskey accord awaken a longing, before the perfume nestles into a sultry bed of cocoa, saffron, angelica and intense woody musk. Black Sand is a strong, pulsating perfume with a smouldering drydown for those who dare to seek the unusual and are keen to immerse themselves in a bold aquatic experience.
