Description

Blackbird Cold Cave Death Eau de Parfum is a dark and smoky fragrance inspired by the primitive nature of life and death. Cold Cave Death could actually be named Warm Cave Life as the opening glows with the bright light of a cave fire. Barbecuing subterranean sausage laden with sage is a playfully gourmet. But, do not be put off, this is a niche perfume of primordial comfort against life’s cold edges.

Think prehistoric cave people, digging amid the roots, soil behind fingernails, herbs stuffed in crevasses for later use. The scent of stony minerals in the air. Flames flicker giving smoked succour. Even if Cold Cave Death playfully revels in the comforting blaze of an open fire, it does not ignore the fact that death always echoes in the shadows. Fringing the lively hearth, there is a darkness. The dank, damp walls are shrouded in the pitch black cloak of the unknown. Death looms just behind these edges from where it stretches into eternal shadow. Oh, and wear Cold Cave Death with your best suit for optimal sexiness!

Created in collaboration with Cold Cave’s Wesley Eisold to create a scent both romantic and emblematic of all things death. Black is the night is the death of the day. Leather is the skin we are imprisoned in. Marble is the stone in which we immortalize our souls. Sage is the ritual in which we cleanse, heal and begin again.
