Astrophil & Stella Shanghai 1930 (Extrait de Parfum) is a powerful white floral perfume with mysterious oriental notes. Deep, intoxicating and seductive, just like Shanghai in the 1930s: the Paris of the East was a real melting pot, a meeting point of cultures. Shanghai is mysterious, Shanghai is romantic, Shanghai is inscrutable, but above all, Shanghai is improbable. In the early 1930s, Shanghai became a world city like no other.

Astrophil & Stella Shanghai 1930 captures the diversity and uniqueness of the city, where different fragrance notes find a mysterious harmony. The opening of the perfume is a fresh green earl grey tea accord, which perfectly blends with the sweetly oriental notes of the narcotically elegant whisper of tuberose. At the heart of the perfume, a wonderful jasmine sambac of superb quality takes centre stage, intertwined with magnolia and the tropical influence of ylang ylang – guaranteed to make hearts melt.

The perfume is mystical and delicately powdery, with an elegant musky accord providing the backbone as it dries down. Anointed with vanilla, a soft sandalwood bed lends the fragrance a lingering sensuality.

Top notes: bergamot, green tea, mango, violet leaf, plum and cinnamon
Heart notes: tuberose, jasmine sambac, magnolia, ylang-ylang, orchid and champaca
Base notes: vanilla, sandalwood, tonka bean, white musk and myrrh
