Description
Anatole Lebreton Cornaline Eau de Parfum is a sophisticated fruity floral fragrance, full of brightness, light and colour. This fun and breezy scent playfully balances bright red blossoms, preciously pallid roots and tropical fruits to stunning effect. The opening sets the scene of a sunkissed floral landscape as the peppery warmth of geranium meets the gracefully sweet scented aroma of wild carrot flower and cooler tones of carrot root. Cornaline’s heart note overflows with nature’s sensual offerings as a sumptuous peach note oozes its sweetly tart juices and the intoxicating tropical fruit tones of ylang ylang shine like rays of setting sun.
Cornaline is a scent which includes a sort of olfactory yin and yang in its DNA, as the brilliant sunny glow of midday garden transitions into the muted mystery of a moonlit night thanks to orris sparkling underneath. This beautiful balance of abundant colour and restrained elegance makes Cornaline feel flamboyantly fun yet cooly contemporary. The drydown is mellow like dusk on a balmy summer’s day. A base of benzoin cozies up with soft musk notes and creamy vanilla, creating a powdery resting place after a day basking in life’s sweet delights.
Cornaline is French for carnelian, the orange-red gemstone often used in art nouveau jewellery. Anatole Lebreton’s Cornaline Eau de Parfum is inspired by the flame haired beauty with alabaster skin and carnelian jewels from Alphonse Mucha’s iconic 1896 Zodiac painting for magazine La Plume. This is a dazzling niche perfume for an aspiring goddess who wants to connect with her inner beauty as well as nature – flowers, fruits, roots and all.
