Description
Manos Gerakinis Pivoine (Eau de Parfum) is a sensual and sophisticated perfume dedicated to the peony, which blooms beautifully in late spring. According to a popular story, the flower is named after Paeon, the physician to the Greek gods who healed Pluto – angering his teacher, Asclepius, the god of medicine. A jealous Asclepius threatened to kill Paeon, whom Zeus saved by turning him into a peony. Cultivated in temperate climates for thousands of years, the peony has been revered for its extraordinary beauty, subtle fragrance and healing properties since time immemorial.
The centrepiece of Manos Gerakinis Pivoine is a beautiful peony accord. Since the flower itself does not transmit its fragrance in essence form, its delicate, long-lasting scent, with its fresh, rosy and slightly sweet tones, can only be created with other ingredients. Manos Gerakinis has painted his own interpretation of the eponymous flower with notes of juicy apple, sensual floral notes and soft suede leather, which is modern and clean, at once sophisticated and eternally beautiful.
Top notes: red apple
Heart notes: peony, jasmine, carnation, rose
