Gentleman’s Nod Sidama (Extrait de Parfum) was nominated for the Best Perfume Prize at the Art and Olfaction Awards in the independent category in Los Angeles in 2024.

Gentleman’s Nod Sidama is a dry coffee perfume delicately poured into a rum barrel, a wonderful olfactive nod to the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia. Sidama is considered by many to be the original birthplace of coffee, and the perfume named after it is inspired by the rich flavours and aromas so characteristic of Ethiopian coffee beans.

The perfume’s opening is subtly boozy with rum, a slightly bittersweet fragrance typical of Ethiopian coffees dried naturally, where the fruit is left to dry on the beans. Along with the rum, a playful aroma of red berries and a creamy apricot accord emerge. Reaching the heart of the perfume, a divine dark chocolate note blends with a special creamy iris and the sweetness of tropicalone. As the perfume dries down, a richness of warm amber and musk pampers, anchored by woody, spicy and earthy notes.
