True to its name, Purple Powder is indeed powdery but it is not overwhelmingly so, coming more in the form of a fine dusting than than a powder puff explosion. It has all the joyous radiance of the belle of the ball, but it also has depth. Yellow mandarin and Calabrian lemon in the opening are sparklingly fresh and iris powder brings a refined softness to the heart. Yet what makes Purple Powder so universally beguiling is its darker ambery tones. It’s an amber with a festive spirit, decorated with ‘80s purple baubles and embellished with glistening gourmand notes.
