Dusita Mélodie de l’Amour Hair- and Body Mist is a beautifully harmonious symphony of creamy and indolic gardenia presiding over 150 varieties of white florals. Pissara Umavijani, founder and nose at Dusita, created Melodie de l’Amour as a perfumed homage to the poetry of her late father. This is clearly to be seen in the scent’s heady bouquet of top notes, which have the fragrant intensity of love distilled into an absolute. Mélodie l’Amour’s breathtaking opening celebrates the seductive ambiguity of the white floral world: on the one hand, romantic notes of gardenia gleam in freshly spiced innocence. On the other hand, jasmine’s fleshy flirtations suggest carnel excess and a prominent tuberose note exposes the dark passion lurking underneath the brightest blossoms.
