House of Matriarch Amanita Eau de Parfum is a spicy amber scent of damp earth and warm woods celebrating divine union between human and nature. Inspired by the iconic amanita muscaria mushroom that has been used by every ancient culture throughout the world for spiritual purposes, Amanita invites us to follow our nose into the dark forest where a cornucopia of flora and fauna enchant our consciousness – inspiring creativity and healing.

Amanita is not a classic green woodsy scent. Instead it focuses on the intimacy of the forest floor, where damp, dark and musty notes emanate an air of alluring earthiness. The mesmerizing blend of soil, mould and forest fungus makes this a perfect niche perfume for meditation and inner connection. Amanita’s immersive effect feels ‘surround-scent’ and ‘psychedelic’ in its realism – taking us on a trip to an ancient wonderland of mushrooms, forest critters (thanks to a cruelty-free fur accord), bark and moss.

House of Matriarch Amanita is a complex ceremonial concoction. Alongside the mushroomy depth of morel and decarboxylated amanita, 100 year old oakwood showcases the enduring power of nature. In the base, ruh khus offers rooty, woody, grassy and nutty facets. The perfumed potion smoothes out in the dry down thanks to luxurious orris root and warming peru balsam – a soft caress from mother earth.

Like taking the red pill in olfactory form, Amanita is a scented balm for soul searching. Beyond ‘mere’ perfumery, it captures the magic beat of the shamanic drum, heady plumes of ceremonial smoke and trance-inducing ritual chanting. Top notes: treemoss, angelica, saffron, cruelty-free fur accord
Heart notes: 100 year old oakwood, larch, morel absolute, decarboxylated amanita
Base notes: Peru balsam, ruh khus, orris resinoid, Malaysian oud
