Meo Fusciuni 3# nota di viaggio (ciavuru d’amuri) Eau de Parfum is a refreshingly green and woody perfume dedicated to the joyous juice of the fig. Meaning “perfume of love” in Sicilian, Ciavuru D’amuri celebrates the annual arrival of fig season bringing sun drenched days and balmy nights under the stars. The scent opens with the palette cleansing hit of summer citrus before the green refreshment of fig leaves reveals its dry powderiness. In contrast, the milkiness of fig sap connects to a softer, more fleshy side of the fruit. The heart features a bouquet of white florals centred on jasmine and ylang-ylang – a clean, feminine homage to the venerated mothers and grandmothers of Sicily.

Like the incense which impregnates both the walls of the island’s churches and the clothes of the faithful who worship within them, an unadorned frankincense note reflects the sacred aspects of Sicilian life. ‘Ciavuru d’amuri’ reflects the traditional Sicilian sense of lighthearted passion thanks to a refined woody base characterized by cedar and sandalwood and a resinous benzoin note which is sweetly comforting and deeply rooted. The celebratory scent’s ambery drydown leaves a lasting impression, gently lulling niche perfume lovers into the comforting feeling of being home.

Meo Fusciuni 3# nota di viaggio (ciavuru d’amuri) Eau de Parfum is the third and final installment in the ‘nota di viaggio’ trilogy – the other scents being ‘rites de passage’ and ‘shukran’. Whereas the previous fragrances led us from Istanbul to Marrakech on the quest for the new, ‘ciavuru d’amuri’ is the perfume of homecoming. Its highly personal inspiration is a journey into memory; a scented sanctuary in which to seek refuge when the world seems big and scary. ‘ciavuru d’amuri’, the smell of unconditional love, is an olfactive safespace we can retreat to when we cannot physically revisit the comforts of our place of origin.
