Filippo Sorcinelli Ennui Noir Extrait de Parfum is a modern patchouli based niche perfume from the perfumer’s renowned UNUM collection. This dark and futuristic fragrance features a merging of traditional aristocratic gloom with the narcotic aroma of hi-tech material. This highly idiosyncratic scent does not evolve in the classical sense one would expect from an Extrait de Parfum of this quality, but rather maintains its structure as a monolithic sensory blanket which envelopes the wearer in a necessary, horizontal gauze. This stunning scent caresses the skin in a musky, hazy and opaque velvet which feels both antique gothic and technologically advanced. Patchouli and vanilla unite to fabulously synthetic effect and make Ennui Noir decadently addictive.

Despite the inviting floral sweetness of heliotrope and comforting tones of cedarwood and bark, the scent emits an aura of cool distance – like the incomparable scent of a dry ice machine souped up on synths.
