Description
Renier Perfumes De Lirius Extrait de Parfum is a clean and green niche perfume inspired by the tropical ginger lily flower. Reminiscent of dewy foliage, the dense and moist opening features refreshing green apple, which hangs ripe and crisp next to characteristically fruity guava leaf. The pineapple-like notes of soursop (a fruit native to Central America and the Caribbean) are bright and bitter-sweet with a green citrus twist. This verdant ecosphere sets the scene for the floral effusion in the fragrance’s beautiful heart. As if born of nature’s life giving juices, ginger lily rises venus-like from her water-sodden landscape, combining fragrant floral facets with refreshing undertones of ginger and tropical fruit. The niche scent dries down similarly to the slow evaporation of the summer rains as the fresh blossom notes gradually share centre stage with the bloom of tropical damp earth. De Lirius becomes secretive and alluring as the scent settles in on the skin. Haitian vetiver, moistened by the greenery of the foliage, rests on tropical cedar and guaiacwood. An exotic nature trail for lovers of refreshing and relaxing scents.
Renier Perfumes De Lirius Extrait de Parfum is part of the brand’s Taino collection, inspired by the indiginous Taino people of the Caribbean. De Lirius in particular is a tribute to the women of colonial Cuba, who would wear ginger lilies in their hair and hide secret messages in the flower’s complex inflorescence during the war of independence against Spain. This has resulted in the distinctive white blossom becoming Cuba’s national flower. This soul cleansing niche perfume was painstakingly developed by perfumer Juan M Pérez over a 15 month period and as an extrait de parfum is a fittingly luxurious tribute to such a unique source of inspiration.
