Description

Hiram Green Arbolé is a perfume which reveals how multifaceted a green, woody scent can be. Arbolé opens with a burst of rich, earthy patchouli which is mediated by a velvety, powdery note of sandalwood. Dry, almost dusty cedar structures the scent’s woody heart with a timber heft that has the qualities of a medicinal balsam. Vanillic tonka bean becomes prominent during dry down – mellowing the hard-edged wood notes. The perfume’s bittersweet, powdery base reveals the creamy richness of almond and coumarin.

Arbolé is the perfumer’s greenest scent and takes its name and spirit from Federico Lorca’s poem, which opens with the line “tree, tree, dry and green”. Think of a lazy summer afternoon somewhere in the hinterland of Ibiza: salty dry wind blowing through the trees and a trace of incense lingering in the air. This is a romantic fragrance with a vintage touch.
